Pochettino expecting more Tottenham signings
Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino has confirmed he expects to add further signings to his squad prior to Thursday’s transfer deadline.
Tottenham have already brought in Colombian defender Davinson Sanchez from Ajax – for a club record £42m fee – as well as Southampton goalkeeper Paulo Gazzaniga.
Asked if he anticipated more arrivals during the coming days, Pochettino responded: “Yes, in the positions we need to strengthen.
“I’m sure we will add some players that help us in the future and I am optimistic.”
Pochettino’s team, who drew 1-1 with Burnley at Wembley were pegged back when they conceded a late goal for the second game in a row.
Chris Wood slammed in his first goal for the Clarets to deny Tottenham after Dele Alli’s second of the season had given them the lead early in the second half.
Pochettino added: “We need to find our balance. Still the team is showing a lack of concentration in difficult situations.
“We created a lot of chances to kill the game, but when you’re not focused to the end of the game, that is key. We need to improve and increase our mental level.”
