Harry Kane insists he does not need a break despite ongoing concerns over his fitness.
The striker recovered from a hamstring problem to face Real Madrid last week but was withdrawn in the second half against Crystal Palace after picking up another knock.
Kane will join up with the England squad later this week for matches against Germany and Brazil and says he will play as much as boss Gareth Southgate wants him to.
“I don’t think I need a break,” he said. “I’m in the same boat as everyone else – we play a lot of games and you have to deal with it.
“It isn’t my call, it’s down to Gareth. He will make the decision based on what he thinks is best for the players and the team.
“If I’m fit and called upon, I’m happy to play. It’s always an honour to play for my country. I’d never turn that down, so we’ll see what happens.
“The hamstrings are fine but we’ve got keep an eye on it. It’s something that happened and we don’t want it to happen again.”
