Slavisa Jokanovic has admitted he cannot be sure Ryan Sessegnon will not leave Fulham this month – but the Whites boss is convinced the club do not want to sell.
Tottenham have long been interested in the teenage left-back and several other top clubs have also been linked with him, including Manchester United.
It has been claimed that United are planning to make an offer for Sessegnon during the transfer window and that they would be willing to loan him back to Fulham.
“I don’t know if these clubs are interested in this player,” said Jokanovic, who added that it would be “strange” if Sessegnon does not go on to play for England.
“People around him are clever enough to know that after 50 games for us he is in a very good situation.
“We will see what people around him and what Fulham are going to decide. I don’t have information about whether Fulham are going to sell. This decision is not in my hands. It is not my decision.
“But Fulham don’t want to sell him and the kid doesn’t say anything (about leaving), so I am thinking about him for the future for the season ahead of us.”
Sessegnon scored twice in Fulham’s 4-1 win over Ipswich on Tuesday, taking his goal tally for the season to seven.
