Moses ‘remains determined’ to secure move to Chelsea
Victor Moses remains determined to move to Chelsea, The Sun report.
The Wigan forward is said to be keen to join the likes of Eden Hazard and Oscar at Stamford Bridge despite Latics chairman Dave Whelan’s attempts to hang on to him.
A Wigan insider is quoted as saying: “Victor would be happy to do battle with the youngsters who have given Chelsea an exciting new look.
“If Chelsea match Dave Whelan’s valuation of £9m, Victor will be on his way.”
Meanwhile, Sunderland manager Martin O’Neill is keen to capture Clint Dempsey if Liverpool continue to hesitate over signing him, the Daily Mirror say.
Fulham star Dempsey wants to move to Anfield, but Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is yet to follow up his apparent interest with a firm bid.
It is claimed that O’Neill will try to persuade the American to move to the Stadium of Light and hopes to speak to him this week.
The Daily Mail also suggest Sunderland want Dempsey – and say Fulham are considering signing former Arsenal striker Eduardo from Shakhtar Donetsk as well as Brescia’s Omar El Kaddouri.
According to the Mail, QPR are interested in Tottenham defender Michael Dawson and expect Joey Barton to join Marseille on loan later this week.

Its not that he is not worth 7m but we are looking at this in relation to his contract especially in terms of years remaining. Paying anything close to his real value now would be hard on Chelsea and besides, Wigan would always give away 20 percent of what they can get from him so why not sell now. The only win for Wigan is the prospect of him saving them in relegation battle again. But is this what moses would rather fight for?

Victor moses must be sick to the back teeth of fighting relegation every season, their luck will run out this season and then their best players will be gone for next to nothing, and as for martinez turning down Liverpool, who’s he trying to kid!

as a Chlesea supproter I think Moses is better than what we have at the moment but world class he is not so 7m is enough for him-otherwise it will be 2m next season

You are wrong. Southerners usually are. He will not leave for free at the end of the season. He’s under the age of 24 which entitles us to a fee at the end of his contract. Fee usually set by a tribunal.
So with this in mind, let’s say we recoup 2 million for him at the tribunal.
Also, consider that 20% of the 7 million you are proposing will go to crystal palace.
So the deal is essentially only worth around 5 million to us.
May aswell keep him for a year because we’ll only lose out on 3 million. That’s nothing if he helps us stay in the premier league.
So, Chelsea should either meet his valuation or leave alone.
It’s great when you have all facts.

Put up or shut up Chelsea. He isn’t worth 7 mill let alone 9 but either way I won’t be complaining if he goes. Makes me laugh, Abramovich Russian Billionaire v Whelan, bog roll salesman and the Oligarth won’t stump up the pittance difference.
As for going for nothing next yr, how does that work Brains?

Hey Whelan, you old skinflint, take the £7 million now and stop being a grasping, greedy git. Alternatively lose the lot next year when Chelsea get him FOR NOTHING – when he’ll still only be 22!
