upmysport: the easy way to find your perfect coach or trainer
Finding the right coach or trainer can be a needle-in-a-haystack operation. But the upmysport.com website aims to take the hassle out of hooking up with a sports coach or personal trainer.
It offers a searchable catalogue of hundreds of activities run by top coaches and instructors, in sports ranging from cycling, golf and tennis to running, swimming and triathlon.
These include group and private tennis coaching at Hurlingham Park in west London, run by Ben Halstead, an expert in tennis-specific fitness, bio-mechanics and footwork, and one-to-one swimming technique lessons in Hampton.
Or, if golf is your sport, PGA teaching pro James Irons offers driving range tuition at Dukes Meadows Golf Club in Chiswick – but there’s many other sessions available via upmysport.com’s search engine.
Sessions and lessons are graded from first-timer to expert level and you can view instructor profiles, video introductions and reviews before deciding which is right for you.
All sessions can be booked online directly with the coach/instructor, with regular SMS reminders, and there’s a flexible 24-hour cancellation policy.
Coaches and instructors are also encouraged to showcase their skills and experience via the site, and thereby attract new customers for their sessions.
Customers pay no more than they would if they contacted the instructor direct. For instructors, there is no set-up fee or monthly subscription to join the site, just a commission on booking fees.
Coaches wanting to tell the world what they offer can visit the instructors’ portal at www.upmysport.com/instructors.
