Trio to feature on Wembley Arena bill
Steve O’Meara, Mitchell Smith and Gary Corcoran will return to Wembley Arena in another Frank Warren-promoted show scheduled for 15 June.
The trio, whose respective opponents are yet to be confirmed, recently recorded victories at the same venue on the undercard of Nathan Cleverly’s world title defence against Robin Krasniqi.
O’Meara [pictured above] overcame cuts to grind out a points decision against the rugged Chas Symonds.
It was the Shepherd’s Bush-born light-middleweight’s first outing since unsuccessfully challenging for the Commonwealth title last year.
Harrow Weald’s exciting super-featherweight prospect Smith, 20, impressed with a first-round stoppage, while Wembley light-welterweight Corcoran, 22, extended his own unbeaten professional record.
Next month’s bill will be headlined by a heavyweight clash between Londoner Dereck Chisora and highly-rated American Deontay Wilder, whose recent demolition of Audley Harrison prompted the former Olympic champion to announce his retirement.
