Spurs worry over Dawson after Fulham’s shock derby victory
Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas was left with a potential injury headache following Fulham’s shock 1-0 victory against his team at White Hart Lane.
Spurs defender Michael Dawson will be assessed by England’s medical staff after picking up a hamstring strain during the game.
Dawson was substituted at half-time and Spurs manager Andre Villas-Boas admitted the player will probably miss the upcoming World Cup qualifiers against San Marino and Montenegro.
“Michael will be assessed by the England medical staff in communication with our own to find out if he can make it or not,” Villas-Boas confirmed.
“It is something they will have to decide between them but he probably won’t [be available].
“He felt his muscle going in the first half and if he’d have carried on he would have been at risk of a major injury.”
