Released Chelsea man Kalou ‘to sign for Schalke’
Salomon Kalou is set to sign for Bundesliga side Schalke, according to the Daily Mirror.
Kalou, who is being released by Chelsea, has been linked with several clubs in England and abroad but is believed to have opted for a move to Germany.
Several newspapers report Belgian starlet Eden Hazard’s move from Lille to Chelsea, who have beaten off competition from both Manchester clubs to sign him.
The fee is widely reported to be £32m, but The Independent suggest the deal will cost £40m.

The Daily Mail say Barcelona have joined Real Madrid in the race to sign Blues defender Branislav Ivanovic.
Russian outfit Anzhi Makhachkala are also said to be in the frame, while Chelsea apparently value the player at £23m.
Meanwhile, Tottenham have told midfielder Jermaine Jenas he can join QPR, according to the Daily Express.
The England international is one of several players tipped to leave White Hart Lane this summer, with Rangers reported to be interested in him.
Like the Express, The Sun claim that Rangers want to sign Taye Taiwo following his loan spell at Loftus Road but are likely to be snubbed, with Benfica tipped to buy the Nigerian from AC Milan.
The Sun also report Paddy Kenny’s desire to discuss his future with QPR amid reports the club could sign another keeper.

Kenny has been strongly linked with a move to Leeds as he played under Elland Road boss Neil Warnock at Rangers, Sheffield United and Bury.
The Yorkshire Post suggest Leeds’ apparent bid to sign him is in doubt because Rangers are reluctant to sell before acquiring another keeper.
