Redknapp hails Leeds as ‘one of the great clubs in English football’
QPR boss Harry Redknapp says his players must be ready to face an intimidating atmosphere when they play Leeds United at Elland Road this weekend.
Both teams are unbeaten in the Championship so far this season and Redknapp believes Leeds will challenge for promotion under manager Brian McDermott.
“It’ll be a tough game. You don’t get an easy game at Leeds,” said Redknapp.
“It’s a passionate, fantastic crowd – great support. It’s one of the great clubs in English football.
“You look at the support and the club over the years that Leeds have been. They still have great support home and away and it’s an intimidating place to go.
“They’ve got a good manager in Brian McDermott and a good team. I’m sure they’ll be there or thereabouts.
“With that crowd behind them, no-one will go to Elland Road and get an easy game that’s for sure. They’ll be right up there.
“They’re talking about getting maybe 30,000 tomorrow. It’ll be a great atmosphere and we’ll have to be at our best to get a result there.”

I have never been a fan of other clubs managers, with the exception of the late and great Sir Bobby Robson and any ex Leeds player.
Harry Rednap is possibly the only other manager that I would respect what he has to say on a professional basis due to his knowledge and experience of the game.
Straight talking and down to earth, I agree with Dave P in that he would be a great England manager.
