Rangers boss to select fringe players for FA Cup clash

Harry Redknapp will rest a number of first-team players for this afternoon’s FA Cup fourth-round meeting with League One side MK Dons.

The QPR boss plans to make several changes ahead of vital home league matches against champions Manchester City and fellow strugglers Norwich.

“I have got to make some changes, with Man City coming on Tuesday and Norwich on Saturday,” he said.

“I need to shuffle the pack. I can’t afford to risk all the players. The squad will get a chance.

“No disrespect, we’re playing MK Dons – they’re a good side, I’m seen them this year – but whichever team we put out I should have a squad here capable of beating them.

“If they can’t beat MK Dons then we’ve got a problem with the rest of our squad. We should be able to beat them.”

Esteban Granero and Armand Traore are fit again after injuries but Loic Remy has a hamstring problem, Junior Hoilett remains sidelined and Ryan Nelsen is not being considered for today’s game.
