QPR to complete midfielder deal

QPR are expected to formally complete the signing of Nancy midfielder Samba Diakite later today.

The 23-year-old Mali international, currently representing his country at the Africa Cup of Nations, has chosen a move to Loftus Road despite interest from Lyon.

Rangers have agreed the signing of Diakite on an initial loan deal with a view to completing his permanent transfer in the summer if they stay in the Premier League.
