QPR ‘to bid for Birmingham keeper’ as Kenny is again linked with Leeds
QPR plan to offer Birmingham City £6m for goalkeeper Jack Butland – possibly paving the way for Paddy Kenny to join Neil Warnock at Leeds, the Daily Mail say.
Kenny has been strongly linked with a move to Elland Road since former R’s boss Warnock took over as Leeds manager.
It is claimed Rangers are to make a bid for England Under-21 international Butland, who has been watched by Manchester United.

And the Mail again link QPR with Fulham’s out-of-contract striker Andy Johnson.
There is more speculation about Joey Barton’s future following the FA’s decision to ban him for 12 matches for his violent outburst against Manchester City.
The Daily Mirror say it would cost Rangers £10m to get rid of him. Other papers, including The Sun, suggest it would cost £11m.
The Daily Star claim QPR have lined up Tottenham’s Jermaine Jenas as a £4m signing to replace Barton and are also looking to sign keeper Ben Foster from Birmingham.
Stoke City boss Tony Pulis has launched a bid to sign Romelu Lukaku on loan from Chelsea, according to the Star.
Pulis expressed an interest in the Belgian striker last season and is said to be keen to capture him, with West Ham also linked.
The Star also say Chelsea have agreed personal terms with Porto forward Hulk.
Meanwhile, The Sun say Didier Drogba has been made a lucrative offer by Juventus.
It is claimed the Italian giants have offered Drogba a two-year contract worth £80,000 a week.
The out-of-contract striker, who is leaving Chelsea, has been tipped to join Chinese club Shanghai Shenhua.

Foster went to west brom on loan because he doesn’t want to move home so there’s little chance of him moving to london. As for Butland,he will be our no.1 keeper next season and establish himself, unfortunately offers will come in for him and the club being in the mess it is may force the sale. But with Foster likely to be sold to west brom and Doyle off on a freebie i’m hopeful that Butland will be at Birmingham for a few seasons yet.

Ranger X – believe me, £6 million is derisory. No disrespect, if he did leave Birmingham it will not be for a team of QPR’s present status. £15 million was being talked about earlier in the season with the speculation (because that is all it is) linking him with all the present top four clubs in the Premier League. This boy is better than you obviously think he is and he will eventually replace Hart and I’ve seen them both play. Good luck in sorting out Joey Barton; shame because he’s not a bad player but he’s wasted his talent sadly.

P.S;Joey Barton should be shown the door even if it means he is paid the speculated £11m it would cost, the guy is a liability.

@Bazzathebluenose……£6m derisory? Really? Butland is good undoubtable but £6m would would be a reasonable offer.
England NO,1? Joe Hart is only in his mid twenties so unlikely
Read the news lately? QPR are looking at other areas and being linked with all and sundry and that is all this is just another media speculation about who somebody will sign.
Poach other clubs young talent? lmao
Question: how do teams get better?
Answer : by buying or developing young talent and usually a bit of both.

This is highly speculative journalism without a shred of evidence to back any of it up. I suppose that the hacks have to fill up the column inches somehow killing more rain forest as they do so. Butland to QPR for £6 million? It would be funny if this bit of guesswork wasn’t downright derisory and insulting. This boy is England’s future No 1 so why would Birmingham City just give him away? Players this good come along once in a generation and though the club may be skint we aren’t destitute. QPR should look to strengthen other areas of their team and sort out the Joey Barton problem before trying to poach other clubs’ best young talent which I doubt they are with regard to Jack Butland anyway.

Ps. Id rather a Joey Barton than another crock like Dyer or possibly Jenas if he comes. At least Barton will remain fit, passionate and ultimately produce better results for us.

I doubt very much that Paddy Kenny will come to leeds as we cant even afford 450 thousand for Ward. Bates is killing a once great club, business or not we need a new chairman with fresh ideas that support the team not peoples back pocket.
