QPR move for Tozser and Angella
Hungary midfielder Daniel Tozser is due to undergo a medical on Friday ahead of a planned move to QPR, who are also poised to sign Watford defender Gabriele Angella.
The duo played key roles for Watford as they were promoted to the Premier League last season and are set to link up again at Loftus Road.
Tozser (pictured above), 30, spent the season on loan from Italian side Parma, who have agreed to release him.
And a deal has been agreed in principle for Italian centre-back Angella, 26, to move to west London ahead of next week’s transfer deadline.
Tozser initially joined Watford on loan from Genoa during the second half of the 2013-14 campaign and impressed in his 20 appearances for the club.
The Hornets tried to sign him on a permanent basis but were unable to agree a deal and he moved to Parma in the summer of 2014 before immediately returning to Vicarage Road on a two-year loan.
He made 46 appearances last season and scored five times as Watford reached the top flight.
However, it was announced last month that he would be leaving rather than spending another year on loan.
He has been targeted by QPR because head coach Chris Ramsey is keen to adopt a passing style of play and wants another midfielder in the mould of Rangers’ Alejandro Faurlin.
Angella, meanwhile, is a former Italy Under-21 international who joined Watford from Udinese in 2013.
He has made a total of 75 Championship appearances but has not featured in the league so far this season.
Ramsey has been looking for a ball-playing central defender to play alongside skipper Nedum Onuoha.
Rangers turned their attention to Angella after missing out on United States international Tim Ream, who opted to join Fulham.
