QPR’s Gladwin already preparing for ‘big season’
Ben Gladwin believes next season will be crucial for him as he looks to establish himself as a first-team player at QPR.
The midfielder, 23, came on as a substitute in Saturday’s 2-1 win against Charlton, having spent time on loan this season at Bristol City and his former club Swindon.
Gladwin was unable to secure a regular place in the side following his summer move from Swindon and his outing at the weekend was his first league appearance for Rangers since September.
“This is the club I signed for in the summer, it’s the club I want to play for and it’s where I want to be,” he told QPR’s website.
“This season has been a bit unsettling. I have been here and there, but that’s because I want to play football.”
The former Hayes & Yeading player recently recovered from a knee injury that cut short his loan spell at Bristol City.
“I want to try and build up some momentum to take into next year,” he added.
“I really want to finish the season strongly and get as many minutes as I can.
“Then I plan to look after myself over the summer so I go into pre-season strong. I think next season is a big one for me.”
