QPR ‘consider third Samba bid’
QPR are stepping up security for Chelsea captain John Terry’s potentially explosive return to Loftus Road, the Daily Mirror claim.
Extra stewards and police will be on duty for the FA Cup fourth-round tie on January 28, which will be the first time Terry has played against the R’s since his altercation with Anton Ferdinand during October’s west London derby.
The Daily Mail say manager Andre Villas-Boas will take Chelsea’s players on a five-day trip to Majorca ahead of the game.
The Independent report that QPR are considering making another bid for Chris Samba after having a previous offer rejected by Blackburn, who are believed to be planning another approach for Fulham forward Andrew Johnson.
The Daily Express say Fulham have lined up a £3m bid for Arsenal’s Tomas Rosicky after being told by West Brom that Peter Odemwingie is not for sale.
And Fulham will have to to cough up £6.5m for Maxi Lopez after Fiorentina offered Catania that amount for the Argentine striker, The Mirror say.
