Martinez would rather lose Moses for nothing than lower asking price
Wigan manager Roberto Martinez insists his club would rather lose Victor Moses on a free transfer than reduce their asking price for the forward.
The Latics want close to £10m for Moses, who could move for nothing when his contract expires next summer.
“Victor has a year left on his contract and my chairman is always very clear,” said Martinez.
“We would rather have Victor for a year than sell him under his value. We don’t have to sell players, so we will never undervalue players.
“In football, and life in general, if you want something, you have to meet the valuation.”
