Man Utd back in title race – Mourinho
Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho says Manchester United’s return to form has put them back in the title race.
Mourinho had said only Manchester City and Arsenal could feasibly close the six-point gap that the Blues hold at the top of the Premier League.
But United’s run of five wins from six games has put them back in contention, according to the Portuguese.
“It is four now,” insisted Mourinho, whose side face Stoke at Stamford Bridge on Saturday evening.
“The points difference from the second, third and fourth make me feel that they are there.
“The number are points are the number of points. In the last matches they have become consistent in results and also in the quality of their performances. They are there.”
But Mourinho is still confident Chelsea, who also have a game in hand, will not relinquish their advantage.
“We need six victories and one draw in nine matches so it is a good situation for us and a situation that all other clubs would like to be in,” he added.
