Liverpool ‘considering £7m move for Ba’
Liverpool are the latest club reported to be considering a bid for Newcastle striker Demba Ba.
There has been speculation about Ba’s future because of a clause in his contract which allows him to leave St James’ Park for £7m before the end of this month, and Chelsea have been strongly linked with a move for him.
The Daily Mirror say new Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is also considering making an offer.
The Guardian and Daily Mail both report Chelsea’s imminent bid for Southampton’s highly-rated 16-year-old defender Luke Shaw.
The Independent suggest Shaw may prefer a move to Arsenal, who are also believed to want him.

Meanwhile, the Mail claim that Tottenham, who are poised to appoint former Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas as manager, are lining up a £10m move for Blues forward Daniel Sturridge.
The Mail also say Fulham boss Martin Jol wants to sign midfielder Tom Huddlestone from Tottenham.
Huddlestone played under Jol at Spurs and the Dutchman apparently sees him as a possible replacement for Danny Murphy.

Hello Paul and GFH.
Our daily ‘Paper Talk’ feature is a round-up of newspaper stories related to the west London teams and is separate from our own news content, and the intention is to make this clear. So whether it’s accurate or not is immaterial as it’s just a round-up of what’s being reported elsewhere.

Ba’s escape clause can only be triggered by clubs who have qualified for the Champions League, so another transfer rumour with no legs to it .

I’m getting pretty sick of Liverpool. I used to respect them and follow them, especially in Europe. but all they seem to do is try and raid Newcastle all the time.
This isn’t the sign of a successful team. Memories are short it appears as they turned down Demba Ba when he failed Liverpool’s medical a few years ago!

Well that headline is full of rubbish if i had ever seen one!!! you have forgotten 1 very important piece of information before printing this rubbish, the £7 million clause is ONLY available to Champions League teams and seeing as Liverfool haven’t had CL for the last 2-3 years i can’t see him joining anytime soon, and why would he want to leave when he’s probably got more chance of getting somewhere at Newcastle.
do some research before printing this rubbish
