Niko Kranjcar took the role of Rangers’ lone forward, while Yossi Benayoun is making his first start for the club.

Benayoun is playing in midfield alongside Joey Barton and Tom Carroll.

Kranjcar fired a long-range effort well over the bar in the opening exchanges and sent a 22nd-minute shot wide of the target.
