Eden Hazard and Diego Costa scored stunning goals inside the opening ten minutes as Chelsea took control.

Hazard smashed home the opener inside two minutes after a fine run, and Costa made it 2-0 when he ran down the left and curled the ball in at the far post from a tight angle.

Abel Hernandez had a one-on-one chance to draw Hull level before Costa’s strike but was denied by a fine Thibaut Courtois block.

Chelsea, who named Ramires and Filipe Luis in the starting line-up, could re-establish a six-point lead at the top of the Premier League with victory over the relegation-threatened Tigers.
