In-form Championship side Derby made a lively start to the FA Cup third-round clash at Pride Park.

Ashley Cole did well to clear a dangerous early cross from Jeff Hendrick before David Luiz blocked a driven shot from Rams midfielder John Eustace.

Luiz is alongside Gary Cahill at the back for Chelsea, as skipper John Terry is on the bench with Eden Hazard, Juan Mata and Fernando Torres.

Samuel Eto’o is up front for the Blues but has been unable to make much of an impression so far.

The winners of the tie will be at home to Stoke City in the fourth round.
