Liverpool struck twice in the final three minutes to break Fulham’s hearts at Anfield, with Trent Alexander-Arnold scoring twice for the Reds.
Fulham were leading when Wataru Endo equalised with his first Premier League goal.
And Alexander-Arnold, who earlier opened the scoring, netted the winner to send the Whites home empty-handed.
Following the England international’s opener, Harry Wilson equalised against his former club.
Alexis Mac Allister’s long-range strike restored Liverpool’s lead but Kenny Tete made it 2-2 in first-half stoppage time.
Bobby De Cordova-Reid headed Fulham into the lead in the 80th minute and they came so close to a shock win.
