Jose wants the job – report
Jose Mourinho is putting himself forward for the Chelsea job, the Daily Mirror say.
Owner Roman Abramovich has reportedly made Barcelona’s Pep Guardiola his first choice, but it is claimed that Mourinho is on the shortlist to make a dramatic return to the club he managed from 2004 to 2007.
The Mirror suggest the Chelsea hierarchy have made enquiries and believe he would like to return to Stamford Bridge.
The Guardian report that Guardiola has played down the prospect of him leaving the Nou Camp for SW6.
Meanwhile, The Sun say Chelsea are continuing to track Standard Liege hotshot Michy Batshuayi.
The striker, 18, is also believed to have attracted interest from Barcelona.

sounds good. I’d rather hear something which appears to hold a grain of possible truth ‘sounded out and would like a return’ rather than ‘bring in Ronaldo and only then I’ll come’ which is highly unlikely, why a)-FFP b)- Real won’t want to sell and would expect at least what they paid and nearer 100million if they did sell – doesn’t compute -Jose arrives and spends 2 years FFP restricted budget on 1 player…nah c) therefore Jose can’t bring in anyone else, practically…..More sense = in with his own choice of new players – ie Cavani or Hazard. I love Jose, as all Blues do, and would love to see him back but can he bring the youth through, which we now have so many of with much promise? Sorry, that’s just not Jose like; didn’t do that at Porto, Chelsea last time, Inter or now at Real. Maybe, hopefully, I’m wrong but lets at last be realistic eh!
