Injured Smith has to withdraw from fight
An injury has forced Mitchell Smith to withdraw from a planned fight at the Copper Box Arena this Saturday.
Harrow’s super-featherweight prospect, 21, was due to face Frenchman Sylvain Chapelle on the Frank Warren-promoted show, which is being headlined by heavyweight Dereck Chisora and former world champion Nathan Cleverly.
But ex-ABA champion Smith, who won the southern area title last time out, has suffered a fracture in his left hand and will not be able to fight again until the new year.
Wembley’s unbeaten welterweight Gary Corcoran is still scheduled to feature on the bill.
