Hughton defiant after Norwich defeat
Norwich’s new manager Chris Hughton remained defiant after his side’s 5-0 defeat at Fulham.
Hughton, who took over at Carrow Road this summer, admitted the thrashing at Craven Cottage was “awful and tough to watch”.
“We know we’re going to have defeats,” Hughton added. “It won’t be our last, and it wont be our last by a few goals.
“The most important thing is the reaction from the players. They will want to react. They’ll be hurting because they’re all good characters.
“It was an awful day because it’s the opening day and you want to get off to a good start. But we didn’t defend well and I thought four of the five goals were avoidable.
“The defeat hasn’t changed my idea about the squad and what I want to achieve. We are making enquiries [about new players] and working hard but there is nothing new on that.”
