Hammers want Chelsea keeper – report
West Ham want Chelsea’s Belgian goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, according to The Sun.
The Belgium international, 20, is due to return from a loan spell with Atletico Madrid at the end of the season.
It is suggested that the Hammers are keen on Courtois but Chelsea may look to him to become Petr Cech’s successor.
The Daily Mirror say Chelsea are bracing themselves for an FA misconduct charge in the aftermath of Sunday’s controversial clash with Manchester United.
The paper suggest Chelsea could be in hot water after referee Mark Clattenburg was confronted in his dressing room after the game at Stamford Bridge.
FA rules stipulate a manager has to seek permission from the match official before being allowed in and can only approach him after 30-minute ‘cooling-off’ period.
Boss Roberto Di Matteo, his assistant Eddie Newton and midfielder John Obi Mikel reportedly all went to speak to Clattenburg 15 minutes after the match over an alleged racial slur and are said to have been joined by Blues chief executive Ron Gourlay.
Clattenburg is believed to have included information in his statement to the FA detailing the incident.
Meanwhile, The Sun report that Real Betis are looking to sign QPR’s Esteban Granero on loan in January.
The Spanish club supposedly want Granero to replace star midfielder Benat, who has been linked with a move.
