Half-time: QPR 0 Fulham 3 – Whites embarrassing Rangers again
Goals from Ross McCormack, Moussa Dembele and Tom Cairney put Fulham on course for another easy derby victory.
McCormack, who netted twice in his team’s 4-0 hammering of QPR in September, struck 10 minutes before half-time – his 18th goal of the season.
The striker drifted between Rangers centre-backs Grant Hall and Nedum Onuoha to collect Cairney’s clever pass and fired past Alex Smithies.
Dembele headed home Jamie O’Hara’s 40th-minute cross to double the visitors’ lead, and in first-half injury time Cairney netted from the rebound after Dembele’s shot had hit the post.
Fulham keeper Andy Lonergan gathered Matt Phillips’ header from Jamie Mackie’s early cross, but after that the visitors looked more threatening and have been by far the better side.
Keeper Smithies saved at his near post to deny Lasse Vigen Christensen, who went off injured a couple of minutes later.
Smithies also palmed the ball away to prevent an unmarked McCormack getting to a cross from O’Hara, who had a long-range effort saved, but Rangers’ reprieve was only temporary.
