Half-time: QPR 0 Blackburn 0 – Hill on hand to save out-of-sorts Rangers
QPR were subdued in the first half at Loftus Road and have Clint Hill to thank for being on level terms at the break.
Blackburn have caused them plenty of problems and Jason Lowe’s header from Ben Marshall’s 18th-minute cross was cleared off the line by the Rangers skipper.
Marshall has been a constant threat on the left flank and Rovers went close again when his excellent cross was headed over by Chris Taylor from seven yards out.
And there was another lucky escape for the home side when Jordan Rhodes headed narrowly wide from another left-wing cross, this time Tommy Spurr’s.
R’s boss Harry Redknapp opted to stick with two up front for the time being, with Andy Johnson again starting up front alongside Charlie Austin.
Matt Phillips, who scored after coming on as a substitute against Bournemouth in midweek, was given a starting place and Gary O’Neil was dropped to the bench.
QPR (4-4-2): Green; Simpson, Hill, Dunne, Assou-Ekotto, Phillips, Barton, Carroll, Hoilett, Austin, Johnson.
Subs: Murphy; Traore, Onuoha, Jenas, Kranjcar, Henry, O’Neil.
