Half-time: Leeds United 0 Fulham 0
Leeds United had the better of few first-half chances after a low-key opening 45 minutes at Elland Road.
Sam Byram had the game’s first opportunity, firing across the face of goal.
Fulham’s defence largely kept the Leeds attack well marshalled, until the 29th minute when Alex Mowatt got up to head the ball against the bar.
Kit Symons’ side used that warning sign as a cue to put some overdue pressure on Leeds, but they failed to work Marco Silvestri in the home goal, with Ross McCormack unable to muster a threat on his return to Elland Road.
Late in the first half, Gabor Kiraly – in goal for Fulham for the suspended Marcus Bettinelli – pushed away a shot from Byram, while Seko Fofana engineered Fulham’s first effort on target but Silvestri dealt with it comfortably.
Fulham (4-1-2-1-2): Kiraly; Grimmer, Bodurov, Hutchinson, Stafylidis; Hyndman; Christensen, Fofana; Ruiz; Rodallega, McCormack.
Subs: Rodák, Zverotić, Burn, Kavanagh, Williams, Roberts, Woodrow.
