Half-time: Huddersfield 0 QPR 0

QPR created the better of the chances in an intriguing but goalless first half.

Charlie Austin’s early shot deflected off team-mate Tjarron Chery and flew just over the bar, while Huddersfield captain Mark Hudson turned Matt Phillips’ cross narrowly past his own post.

At the other end, Rangers keeper Rob Green remained largely untested, bar a bobbling shot from distance from Jacob Butterfield, which he gathered comfortably.

Chery looked bright in the first period and the Dutchman sent in a teasing cross which just evaded Austin inside the box.

The hosts ended the half strongly with Nahki Wells’ shot blocked behind for a corner by Grant Hall, which came to nothing.

QPR made one change for this game, with Michael Doughty replacing father-to-be Karl Henry. Clint Hill and Sebastian Polter were both ruled out with illness.
