Half-time: Fulham 2 Norwich 0

Goals from Darren Bent and Ashkan Dejagah put Fulham in the driving seat in the FA Cup third-round replay.

Bent opened the scoring when these sides met 10 days ago and he struck again in the 16th minute at Craven Cottage.

Sebastien Bassong prevented Dejagah connecting with Pajtim Kasami’s low cross from the right but the ball then ran to the former Ipswich striker, who fired home from nine yards.

Norwich had gone close to scoring when Robert Snodgrass rattled the bar from 20 yards moments after Maarten Stekelenburg denied Josh Murphy after the Wembley-born teenager had been set up by Nathan Redmond.

Keeper Stekelenburg and captain Brede Hangeland returned after injury and Fulham’s much-changed line-up also includes centre-back Dan Burn, who is making his home debut.

Having gone ahead, Fulham continued to press and they doubled their lead four minutes before half-time.

Giorgos Karagounis’ perfectly-weighted pass released Alexander Kacaniklic, who pulled the ball back to give Dejagah a simple finish, leaving Fulham on course for a fourth-round trip to Sheffield United.

Fulham: Stekelenburg; Riether, Hangeland, Burn, Richardson; Karagounis, Sidwell; Dejagah, Kasami, Kačaniklić; Bent.
Subs: Stockdale, Hughes, Rodallega, Dempsey, Christensen, Tankovic, Dembèlè.
