Half-time: Crystal Palace 0 Chelsea 1 – Blues ahead but Hazard off injured
Oscar’s 28th-minute goal gave Chelsea a half-time lead in the pouring rain Selhurst Park, where Eden Hazard went off injured.
Diego Costa and Cesc Fabregas are both back in the starting line-up and were involved in the goal.
Damien Delaney misjudged an interception, allowing Costa to escape after collecting Fabregas’ ball down the right, and the striker teed up Oscar for a simple tap in – his fifth goal of the season.
Oscar then found Cesar Azpilicueta, who was denied by a fine save from Crystal Palace keeper Wayne Hennessey.
Blues playmaker Hazard hobbled off shortly after the quarter-hour mark, having appeared to hurt his groin while taking a shot.
