Fulham ‘want Andy Carroll in exchange for Dempsey’
Fulham are reportedly looking to use Liverpool’s interest in Clint Dempsey to help them sign Andy Carroll from the Anfield club.
The Daily Mirror say Whites boss Martin Jol will try to pip to West Ham to the signing of Carroll by telling Liverpool they can capture Dempsey if the £35m striker moves to Craven Cottage on loan.
The Daily Telegraph, meanwhile, suggest Fulham are looking to buy Carroll outright as part of an exchange deal.
The Telegraph also report that West Ham sources believe the newly promoted club have little more than a 10% chance of getting Carroll on loan.
Meanwhile, the Daily Mail report that QPR are set to beat Newcastle to the signing of Blackburn winger Junior Hoilett and are also monitoring Celtic midfielder Victor Wanyama.

Where are these hackers getting these stupid stories from? Rodgers didn’t say he was sending Carroll on loan to any one. he was asked if he would consider sending any Liverpool players on loan and he rather naively answered he would consider anything. So the crooked hackers all run off to print their headlines that Carroll was going on loan.
As to jolly Mr Joll, He’s been taking the same stupid pills as the Wigan owner and given himself a bad case of Whelanitis. £7.5M for Dempsey who will be 30 in 8 months. I just hope John Henry tells Joll where to stick him.
