The problem is Ruiz. Whilst he makes a useful contribution in the first half, he invariably fades by the interval, and becomes little more than a passenger. One or two useful passes, but nothing defensively Yesterday there were two vital balls that he should have easily captured, yet he made no effort and allowed the Charlton attackers two chances on goal. He does not seem to have the stamina or the will power to compete, and as such he is letting down his team-mates.
Much better to substitute him with Roberts in the second half. At this rate we will end up selling Roberts to Man Utd without giving him the chance of a game!
