Half-time: Huddersfield 1 QPR 0

QPR: Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink

QPR trail at the interval after a 14th-minute goal by on-loan Chelsea youngster Kasey Palmer.

The visitors were caught dozing after Tommy Smith’s right-wing cross drifted towards the opposite flank.

Rajiv van La Parra retrieved the ball and sent it back into the box, where an unmarked Palmer was able to head in from six yards.

Rangers have offered very little so far, with Huddersfield dominating with some ease.

Massimo Luongo and Olamide Shodipo returned to the QPR starting line-up for the game against the Championship leaders.

Luongo has recovered from illness, while young winger Shodipo was rested for the 6-0 hammering by Newcastle in midweek.

Conor Washington continues up front, with strikers Sebastian Polter and Idrissa Sylla both on the substitutes’ bench.

QPR: Smithies; Onuoha, Caulker, Hall, Bidwell; Henry, Luongo; Cousins, Chery, Shodipo; Washington.
Subs: Ingram, Lynch, Borysiuk, Wszolek, Polter, El Khayati, Sylla.
