Chelsea v Arsenal: Terry dropped, Ivanovic is captain

Jose Mourinho sprang a major surprise with his starting line-up for Chelsea’s London derby against Arsenal.

The Blues boss left out John Terry, with Branislav Ivanovic, whose place was reported to be under threat, replacing him as captain. Kurt Zouma starts alongside Gary Cahill at centre-back.

Pedro and Oscar both start for Mourinho’s side after passing late fitness tests and Nemanja Matic is restored after sitting out the Champions League game against Maccabi Tel Aviv in midweek.

Meanwhile, Arsenal defender Per Mertesacker is still out with a virus. Gunners keeper Petr Cech features against his former club.
