Stones snap up former Watford defender

Wealdstone have signed former Watford youngster Connor Stevens.

The 20-year-old defender, who was recently released by the Hornets, spent much of last season on loan at the Stones’ National League South rivals Oxford City.

He did not make a first-team appearance for Watford but did feature for their Under-23 side.

Wealdstone manager Bobby Wilkinson said: “Connor has done exceptionally well in pre-season in a key area for us and the opportunity arose to sign him as we look to finalise the squad.”
