Five tipped to leave Chelsea
The Daily Mail suggest there may be five high-profile departures from Chelsea this summer if manager Andre Villas-Boas wins his apparent power struggle with his players.
They paper say Frank Lampard, Fernando Torres, Florent Malouda, Salomon Kalou and Didier Drogba could be among those who leave.
The Daily Telegraph understand that several senior players have urged Villas-Boas to play a strong team against Birmingham on Saturday as they feel the FA Cup is a competition they can win.
The Daily Mirror declare that Claudio Ranieri has warned Chelsea successor Villas-Boas that he is now this season’s Dead Man Walking.
Ranieri said: “I think he has to win a trophy this year to stay in his job. I was sacked because I didn’t win. That is the rule and nothing has changed.”
And Ranieri, now boss at Inter Milan, apparently reckons Napoli will add to AVB’s problems by knocking Chelsea out of Europe next week.
Meanwhile, the Mail say Fulham are watching Ghana defender Isaac Vorsah, 23, of Hoffenheim.
