Ex-Chelsea man advises Markovic against Blues move
Former Chelsea striker Mateja Kezman has told a Serbian newspaper that Lazar Markovic should think twice about a move to Stamford Bridge.
The Blues have shown some interest in the teenage midfielder and were this week reported to be close to a deal to sign him from Partizan Belgrade.
But Kezman believes Markovic ought to take note of other highly-rated youngsters failing to establish themselves after signing for Chelsea.
“I hope that the quality and talent Markovic will be proved, but I’m afraid there are common examples of players who have ‘disappeared’, such as Romelu Lukaku,” Kezman told Sportski Zurna.
“I had, at one time, an offer from AC Milan. However, I decided to go to PSV. For a young player, the Dutch or Spanish league is the best choice.”

Romelu Lukaku disappeared?! He’s only 18, and is out on loan. You’d think he’d have a little bit more respect for a team that backed him and he never played well for.
