Duo could be set for Leeds move – report
Neil Warnock could take Jermaine Beckford back to Leeds and is keen to sign Jerome Thomas on a permanent basis, according to The Sun.
United boss Warnock has told new Leeds owners GFH Capital what he requires during next month’s transfer window.
The Wembley-born Thomas has been on loan at the Championship club from West Brom and Warnock has made it clear he would like to keep him.
And it is claimed that former Wealdstone striker Beckford may return to Elland Road, where he scored more than 70 league goals during a five-year spell.
Beckford, from Ealing, is currently on loan at Huddersfield from Leicester but could be available in January.
Meanwhile, QPR boss Harry Redknapp is considering signing Titus Bramble from Sunderland, according to the Daily Telegraph.
It is claimed that Redknapp is interested in the defender, who is said to be keen to leave the Stadium of Light after falling out of manager Martin O’Neill’s plans.
The 31 year-old, whose contract expires at the end of the season, would apparently prefer a move to London to be nearer his family.
The Sun have an interview with Julio Cesar in which the keeper insists he can still enjoy success at QPR despite their dismal first half of the season.
“There is so much to look forward to with the new training ground and stadium and we want to get QPR respected internationally,” he said.
“If you talk about Chelsea 10 years ago or Manchester City five years ago, nobody round the world knew these clubs.
“If I ask you to bet five years ago that Manchester City would win the Premier League would you have done that?
“They showed how clubs can change and I still believe in the project at QPR.”
