Di Matteo believes there is more to come from Chelsea stars
Boss Roberto Di Matteo insisted there is more to come from his summer signings following Chelsea’s Champions League victory against FC Nordsjaelland.
The 4-0 scoreline flattered the Blues, who were under pressure for much of the second half in Copenhagen.
But Di Matteo told Sky: “It’s a process that takes time. Players like Victor Moses, Eden Hazard and Oscar are still young and it takes time to integrate them.”
He added: “We were a little bit slow in the first half and much better in the second half. The goals came at the end. It took a little bit of time.
“We had chances in the first half and you expect to score those goals and close the game out, but all in all it’s a good scoreline. It’s three points and a clean sheet away from home so it’s a pleasing night.”
More reaction to follow later.
