Delighted Mourinho says he has no choice but to praise ‘amazing’ Hazard
Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho said he had no choice but to single out Eden Hazard after Chelsea’s incredible 4-3 win at Sunderland.
The Belgian playmaker scored two sublime goals and set up one of the others as the Blues won at the Stadium of Light to stay second in the Premier League table.
“Normally I don’t like to praise personally a player, but I have to because since the first minute Eden was amazing,” Mourinho told Sky.
“It was by far our best performance away from home. We played fantastic football.
“We were creative, we were dynamic – especially Hazard. But Mata and Willian in front of our midfield players, they played a fantastic match.”
He added: “We played very well defensively. We had no problems and controlled the situation. But we conceded three ridiculous goals and when you play so well and score four goals away from home, you have to win.”
