Chelsea’s Ake joins Bournemouth on loan

Nathan Ake has joined Bournemouth from Chelsea on a season-long loan.

The Dutch defender, 21, spent last season on loan at Watford, where was voted the club’s young player of the year and helped them reach the FA Cup semi-finals.

Ake, who ended the previous campaign on loan at Reading, has made 12 first-team appearances for Chelsea, with five coming in the Premier League.

Meanwhile, winger Reece Mitchell, 20, has left Chelsea and joined Chesterfield on a two-year deal.
