Chelsea outcast ‘thrown a career lifeline by Lyon’
The Sun report that Chelsea’s Florent Malouda has been thrown a career lifeline by Lyon.
The French club are apparently interested in re-signing the 32-year-old, who they sold to Chelsea for £13m in 2007.
Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas is quoted as saying: “Our door is always open to former players. Malouda has been in contact with our coaching team recently.”
Meanwhile, Bordeaux midfielder Yoan Gouffran is a January transfer target for Fulham, according to the Daily Mirror.
Everton and Aston Villa are also said to be interested in the 26-year-old, whose contract is due to expire next summer.
It is claimed that Bordeaux are looking for £3m for Gouffran rather than risk losing him on a Bosman free transfer at the end of the season.
