Chelsea ‘eyeing £20m swoop for Everton’s Fellaini’
Chelsea are planning a £20m swoop for Everton midfielder Marouane Fellaini, according to the Daily Mirror.
It is claimed that owner Roman Abramovich wants to take his summer spending past the £100m mark by signing the Belgium international.
The Mirror also suggest Ajax’s Gregory van der Wiel heads Chelsea’s list of potential new right-backs.
Chelsea have told Roberto Di Matteo they would like him to remain as manager, according to the Daily Mail.
Sources at Stamford Bridge are said to be increasingly confident the Italian will still be in charge at the start of the new season.
The Mail say West Ham are interested in re-signing Yossi Benayoun, who is expected to leave Chelsea, Barcelona have reignited their interest in Blues defender David Luiz, and that Reading are looking to sign Pavel Pogrebnyak as the striker is yet to agree terms with Fulham.
The Mail also say QPR have made an audacious bid to lure France striker Olivier Giroud.
Arsenal have been linked with the Montpellier star, who is believed to have a £12.8m release clause in his contract

This is one of the best mid fielder, good in the air, a 50/50 ball winner and a good ball controll, most of our mid fielders are good when they have the ball but won’t win the ball, except Mikel, the rest avoids the ball to touch their head. A team can change a tactic to play high balls and if you have, Essien , Matta, Sturidge, Lamp you put the back line in trouble. At times they don’t even make an effort.
