Cech admits Chelsea’s Champions League loss is ‘a sad moment’
Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech said Juventus’ ability to take their chances proved to be the difference in Turin.
The Blues’ 3-0 defeat leaves them facing the prospect of becoming the first holders to fail to reach the knockout stage of the Champions League.
They must now beat beat Nordsjaelland in their final Group E game and hope Juve lose to group leaders Shakhtar Donetsk.
Cech told ITV: “The first half was very difficult but we did pretty well and created some chances. In such an important game, if you create a chance you have to take it.
“Deflections went their way but they put in a very good performance and did really well.
“It’s a sad moment. Last year winning the Champions League was a dream. This is a huge disappointment.”
