Carragher: Reds deserved their point

Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher insisted his side deserved their point against Chelsea.

Luis Suarez’s equaliser in the 1-1 draw came after Chelsea had dominated most of the game at Stamford Bridge.

But Carragher told Sky Sports: “In the first half Chelsea were on top, but in the second half I think we probably deserved a point in the end.”

He added: “Chelsea are playing well this season. They have good attacking players in the final third.

“At half-time the manager said we are quite tentative. We were not willing to take the chance and in the second half we were more willing to get forward.

“It is a good point but we have to kick on now and start getting some wins.”
