Bentley backed to rebuild career after stint in Russia
Harry Redknapp believes David Bentley can rebuild his career following his spell in Russia.
QPR boss Redknapp was critical of Bentley during his time as manager at Tottenham, where the player has been out of favour for some time.
But Redknapp says Bentley deserves credit for moving to FC Rostov, where he is on loan until January.
He said: “I’ve got no problem with him – and David can play.
“Fair play to him for going out to Russia. It shows he wants to play. He could have stayed where he was and just took his money.”
Bentley is expected to try his luck back in England in the new year and his representatives have touted him to a number of clubs, including QPR and Fulham.
