Quins’ Swiel ruled out for the season
Harlequins fly-half Tim Swiel is to undergo surgery on an ankle injury that means he will miss the rest of the season.
The 22-year-old sustained the injury in the closing minutes of last Sunday’s 42-10 defeat to Wasps, leaving Quins to finish the match with 14 men.
He will have the operation on Monday and will miss the last nine games of the campaign.
Swiel rejoined Quins last summer on a permanent deal, having been on loan from Super Rugby side Sharks last season.
