Skipper Chris Robshaw and fly-half Nick Evans have both been ruled out of Harlequins’ European Rugby Champions Cup match against Leinster this weekend.
Robshaw is suffering with a shoulder injury and will see a specialist later this week.
Evans, who has groin and back problems, came off after 11 minutes in the home win over Leinster and will miss the return trip to Dublin.
He is, however, expected to be fit for the Premiership clash with Newcastle Falcons on 20 December.
Quins have struggled for consistent form in the Premiership this season, but, after three matches, are one of only two teams still unbeaten in the European Rugby Champions Cup.
.
And centre George Lowe believes another good display this weekend could help transform their domestic results.
He said: “We are not happy with how we have been going in the league.
“The England guys have been away and it is always tough when you cannot get the same team out every week to build consistency.
“We have dropped off for a few games but hopefully we can get another good performance this weekend and carry this European form back into the league.”
